What to expect

Lumini Vintage Vélo Classic is a two day event, welcoming Vintage bike enthusiasts, BBCC club members and anyone who wishes to know more about classic cycling.

We are planning:

Day 1 A social evening at the Lumini Collections showroom, where riders, guests and BBCC members can enjoy a Gala Night among fellow vintage bike lovers.

Day 2 is about YOU riding your machine into the beautiful Byron Bay hinterlands, guided by our wonderful BBCC Volunteers .

Event Schedule

Day 1 : The Gala Night (Free)

5pm till 8pm Gala night starts at the Lumini Collections showroom, RSVP is essential.

There will be:

- A brief welcome by the Lumini family and the BBCC President.

- Food and drinks

- Ambient music

- Projection of Stage 15 (Racconigi - Oropa) of the 1999 Giro d'Italia.

- Guided tours of the Lumini Collections showroom

Day 2 : The Vintage ride (A small donation required )

7am till 10am, We will ride starting from the Cavanbah Sport Centre in Byron Bay.

BBCC Volunteers will lead a group ride for vintage bike enthusiasts departing in waves of maximum 20 riders at a time for a 65Km scenic loop.

The ride will be carried out at a leisurely pace, for everyone to enjoy, socialise and soak in the Byron Bay hinterlands.

We will have one support vehicle with: tools, spares, water and food available to you if necessary.

After returning to the Cavanbah Centre there will be:

- Food trucks with coffee and snacks available to purchase

- Music

- An area for sale, swap and meet of bicycle parts. Every participant is welcome to bring their garage treasures.

At Midday the event will be over.

The Ride

Discover the Byron hinterlands with us on your steely.

We'll take you trough an enjoyable scenic route through the towns of Mullumbimby, Main Arm and Billinudgel and back via Coolamon Scenic Drive.

Join us on March 7 and 8, 2026 for the very first Lumini Vintage Vélo Classic.
